Yorktown Courts

I loved living here. Extremely spacious apartment and maintenance was quick to fix issues. However, when moving in, they did have to re-model the entire bathroom so that sucked for the first week of living there, but every day after was great. One more note, be cautious of using downstairs laundry room alone, especially at night. The cleaning staff once told me squatters would be down there at times (primarily on the side closest to N Smith Rd). Other than that, I loved this place so much (especially for the price point of the one-bed too!)

The lease has a lot of conditions, however, if a renter chooses to not to follow the rules, management will not help resolve the issue. They will guide you to call law enforcement instead of enforcing the lease. Edit: They elect to selectively enforce the lease. My SUV has a few issues and I don't have the money to get it fixed. They towed it from my residence for that reason. And if I don't fix it, they will tow it again. Their suggestion is that I park it elsewhere until I can get it fixed with money I don't have...

Pros: YTC is a very quiet place to live. The floor plan layout feels incredibly spacious, and the neighborhood is great. Maintenance and management are super quick, super helpful, and impressively friendly. I feel like I am a priority for Legacy Group. Rent is truly a bargain. For a town-house in Bloomington, YTC seems like a steal. The location is on the 6 Route, and is only a short drive to the college mall. It's far enough on the East side of campus that not many party-going 20-somethings reside here, though the demographic does contain IU students, so I don't feel out of place. It has a pool, though I've never used it. Cons: Half-dollar sized spiders were a pretty common sight.
