Adams Village

I am currently in my second year living here, and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. Management and the property manager are poor and unresponsive. The building often smells strongly of weed, especially in common areas, which is very unpleasant. Parking is a serious issue—there is rarely any available, so good luck if you come home late. They strictly enforce renter’s insurance, but basic maintenance is neglected. Repairs are done cheaply and poorly. There are cracks in the roof, damaged window frames, and cold air blows in during winter. The windows in my apartment have never been able to open properly. Maintenance service schedules are often misleading; times are given, but technicians frequently don’t show up as promised. The coffee machine has almost never work

I lived here for 3 years and would not recommend it. There are hidden fees that are not clearly explained upfront. The coffee machine is almost always broken, and it’s the only one shared by about 120 apartments. Trash often piles up, and parking is very limited—good luck finding a spot. You will smell marijuana frequently, including in common areas. Management and staff have poor customer service and often speak with attitude. Once you sign the lease, the way they treat you definitely changes. Make sure to ask very detailed questions before moving in.

Overall a pretty decent complex. My main complaint is with parking, especially out at the Mill. There has been a few times where I’ve had to park in the overflow lot, and have been lucky to find the very last parking spot. I frequently come back to my apartment after 8pm which means im gambling on finding a parking spot. Recently I came home late to find the last spot in the overflow lot but when I had to leave for work in the morning I found my car nearly boxed in because someone parked behind me. I can understand fixing something like this may take a while but this complex has the worst parking out of all the places I’ve lived in Bloomington

Living here has been sweet! When a maintenance issue arises, they are always so quick to deal with it and make sure things are in good order!

The parking is horrendous! Not only are there not enough spaces, the overflow lot isn‘t lit up at night. Poor planning on the people who built these apartments. My boyfriend and I were honestly afraid to leave our complex after 5pm for fear of not having a space when we got home. So if parking near your home is important to you, proceed with caution. The apartments themselves were nice except the central heat and air leaked in the summer throughout the whole apartment because the air vents are on the ceiling. I literally had little dollar tree containers on my furniture and would get a good inch of water in a day. Granted the container was maybe 5in x 3in but moist material molds quickly! Maintenance was notified and said “to expect that in the summer.”
