Village Pines Apartments

Stay away from this apartment. Although we live there for 8 years because before it was a little bit cheaper. There are 7 different managers in my 8 years of stay in that apartment and they are all nice except with the current manager (name Indira), i could say, she is the worst among the past managers. She didn't allowed us to sign a new contract because maybe she wants to offer the unit with the current market price to a new renter. Additionally, we cleaned the unit specially the carpet before turning it over but, she still charged us $560 for carpet cleaning for 2 BR. I want to add also that the insulation between unit is very poor, you will hear every kind of noise from the room of your next door. Not worth it for $2,900 rental.

Stay away from these slum lords!! Awful experience with the current manager, Indira. She was the 4th manager I dealt with in the 3 years I lived there with my two children. When I moved in it was a family oriented community. She has driven most of the long term residents away and now the turnover is high. Recently my laundry detergent was stolen from the laundry room. Do you want to live in a place like this? I moved. And when I left she trumped up all of these ridiculous charges and wants me to pay more than what my security deposit was!! Carpet cleaning and pressure washing? Neither was done before I moved in. And after 3 years of on time rent payments this is how you treat a single parent struggling to provide for their children? Stay away!!

Me and my family lived here for about a year or so. When we moved in - many issues were dealt with. I placed many maintenance requests and it would take a while for things to get done. We had a water leak from the next-door neighbor in the master bedroom and they finished the job but left the area unpainted for over a year and a half. One major issue was when we moved in - the carpet of the entire apartment was not cleaned or changed for us. During our time at the apartment - we would see other apartments get brand-new carpet before they moved in. Me and my family had to live with the old dirty carpet and I developed a respiratory cough during my time living there and had to get on inhalers after needing to see a pulmonologist. Nicest place I've stayed in San Diego County. The units are newly renovated and reasonably priced. Brand new pool and hot tub and the 2-story lay-out adds space. Conveniently located near local businesses and restaurants.

What a lovely community. It's close to everything. Condo style apartments is cool. Management is great so far, very professional and available. Communicates well with tenants about maintenance. Good job!!!
