Town & Country - Distinct Management

Lived at Town & Country for a year. Pros: Walkable to supermarkets; Bus 3E is right outside and other routes are within a short walk. Cons: HVAC is the biggest issue. The A/C was very loud and couldn’t cool the apartment in summer—indoor temps in my unit often exceeded 85°F (I lived on the top floor). The only fix offered was a portable A/C, which was even noisier and didn’t solve the problem very well.

I lived at Lincoln Park Station for 2 years. The location is great, however, you get what you pay for. The apartments are basic, have shoddy craftsmanship, and poor management. DO NOT pay to park in the parking lot, it is a mess. It is better to go through the City of Bloomington and do street parking (can even get a guest pass.) When I moved out, I still had outstanding work orders that were never completed. I was also ghosted on my pre-move out inspection. Had scheduled a walk through and no one showed up or told me they weren’t going to show up. I had to call and be told that ‘something came up’. Take the other negative reviews seriously.

This location is really convenient, especially if you don't have a car, are from out of town, or are an international student. The neighborhood is very walkable, the apartments are just across the street from the mall, Aldi, Fresh Thyme, and only a two-minute drive to Kroger. The bus stop is right in front of the apartments, with direct routes to campus (Line 3) and Line 9 just across the street. The management team is very friendly, efficient, and quick to respond to requests. All this for a fair price. I highly recommend it!

Ceiling leaking for most apartments, cars getting broken into, and then they will absolutely steal your safety deposit and charge you ridiculous fees. 1200 for painting when it didn't need it. They never fixed anything.

Town and country is Moldy, overpriced, and don't expect any maintenance request to be handled quickly. Every time something went wrong I had to submit multiple maintenance requests of the problem getting worse before anything was done. Expect 6-8 months of waiting for maintenance to do 5 minutes of work to put a bandaid on the issue. Lived here for 2 years and we had leaks from the ceiling in every room because of improper insulation and an ancient HVAC system. The whole place should be torn down.
