The Retreat at Carmel

I’ve been here almost 6 months. I moved from Zionsville, the aria, where I did not have a good experience. I was very apprehensive about any move. But this team has superseded my expectations! Starting with the customer service and the proactive outreach. They are fantastic at follow up in a timely manner. The property looks fantastic all of the time! They do a good job of letting you know when they need to enter the property, when they will be out of the office and when there may be changes that affect the entire community. Very thankful for Choosing them. It’s a nice area. I’m happy so far.

I have been a resident at the Retreat for 6 years and I have enjoyed it immensely. My apartment is lovely and overlooks a huge green space I call my backyard. Whenever there has been a maintenance situation, they are here immediately to correct it. The office staff is more than accommodating too. I plan to remain a satisfied resident for as long as possible.

I lived next door at their sister property (Sunrise on the Monon) for three years, before I was able to get an apartment here, but it was worth the wait. They take very good care of the property. It is well manicured. It is kept up nicely. The staff is wonderful, helpful and friendly. It has decent amenities. Maintenance is prompt and thorough with requests. It's a relatively quiet community. 465 is right behind the property, so freeway noise can be a slight issue, but not terrible. There is usually a waiting list for an apartment, but it is worth waiting for. Rent, like everywhere else is steep, but I'd rather pay it here than most other places. It is a lovely community.

In addition to the beautiful campus of the Retreat and the excellent apartment homes and facilities/amenities, the most wonderful aspect I have always enjoyed about living here are the people. The management (Lauren and Bess) are not only interested in helping us with whatever needs arise in managing our homes, but they are friendly and always promptly concerned to respond to whatever maintenance issues we have and any other thoughts on our mind about living here. They do not see it merely as a business but as a community of families. The peace of mind that that brings to all of us is terrific. Thank you and bravo!

I lived here for 2 years and I am afraid I will never find an apartment community as amazing as the Retreat. Their maintenance is phenomenal and super fast- the best maintenance you will ever have. I would call with a problem and no matter how small they would be at my door minutes later. The apartments and landscaping are beautiful and well maintained. The Retreat is also the only apartment community I have ever found with attached garages with direct access. For the location and everything the Retreat has to offer the price is worth it if you can afford it.
