North Haven of Carmel Apartments

They bait and switched me on my tour. The prices they gave were not even close to what is advertised on their website. Who would apply to an apartment when the price could change any time according to their “algorithm”. Also the apartments are very outdated for the price. And don’t tell me you want $1400 a month for a 1 bedroom, and then say I have to go to a laundromat for laundry. Ridiculous offering. Don’t waste your time touring here.

They have a mandatory (and expensive!) trash service. Often times trash is not collected until much after I am in bed. Then they have a policy that they enforce where you are fined if you don't bring your trash can in before 9 am. Have a day off and want to sleep in? Better let your trash stink up your place or walk it down the ~quarter mile to only place to discard trash on the premises...unless you want to pay 25 dollars! There is also some company right next to the apartments that always has loud trucks coming in and out. Sometimes they start in the early morning. If you live on the north end good luck sleeping in!

I am very disappointed with my experience living in this apartment community. The biggest issue has been the lack of responsiveness from the administration staff. I have sent multiple emails and maintenance requests regarding my sink, which has been dripping nonstop due to a loose handle. Maintenance has come out several times, but the problem has never actually been fixed — just temporarily patched. It feels like my concerns are not taken seriously despite repeated requests. The amenities have also been frustrating. During the summer, the pool opened late, closed early, and was shut down for several weeks due to “maintenance.” For the amount residents pay in rent, amenities should be reliable and accessible during the season they’re advertised. Scheduled a virtual tour and was sent a link. After confirming the appt twice with 2 different agents, no one showed up. I reached out and got another appt set up and again no one showed. I reached out again to get answers regarding rates and availability and the agent told me I'd have to schedule another appt. Very poor communication and a very frustrating experience. I was looking forward to becoming a resident here.

I wanna give a shout out to Miss Rose at North Haven Apartments in Carmel, she’s genuinely nice . She always gives (out of her busy day) time to listen to customers’ concern and never displaying any kind of negative attitude, always uplifting in her dealings with customers. Quick response to any issues presented to her, is her way of making sure the renters are taken care of right away. Thank you, Miss Rose , for your hard work and thoughtful dedication towards your job, it surely makes me feel at home . Lori T.
