I moved into Lake of Carmel just shy of a year ago. I honestly can't say enough about the staff. Office and maintenance are just amazing. Always professional and quick to get things done. I love my apartment. I feel like I'm in in a two-bedroom ranch with a study. I've lived a lot of places and this by far is the best rental I have ever been in

***Warning: Excessive, Disputed Charges & Exploitative Move-Out Practices*** Living at Lakes of Carmel has unfortunately proven to be the most financially detrimental rental experience of our lives. We urge all prospective residents to be fully aware of their move-out practices, which we believe are designed to charge tenants for property upgrades under the guise of damage. Here are the verifiable facts of our experience: 1. Condition at Move-In (Pre-Existing Issues) The apartment was delivered to us with several pre-existing issues. This included stains on the kitchen countertops, visibly worn carpeting, and mud stains inside the patio closet. We did not formally complain, but this documented the property was not in pristine condition upon our arrival. 2. Excessive and Disputed Charge

I moved in a week ago and was a bit on edge feeling from some negative reviews but decided to move forward. I’m so glad I did! I absolutely love my apartment and nice quiet community. Moving from downtown Indianapolis to here was the best choice, these apartments are a great price for the square footage. With this being an older property they do consistent renovations and everything is very well kept up. In my unit there was some damage from previous tenants. They documented very throughly on move in day so I wouldn’t get dinged when I move out. There has been a few small damages I noticed and have reported that they sent maintenance out to fix immediately. Mark the maintenance guy came and was very polite, efficient and hard working. We have lived here over a year and we love it! We love the size of the apt, the amenities, the quiet, and location convenience. Maintenance requests are quickly taken care & the grounds around the complex are kept up.

I really like living here :) I have never had a problem, the office staff are always friendly, and the pool is top tier! I can NEVER hear my neighbors which is rare for apartments. Truly no complaints!!!
