I've been renting through Action for 2+ years, and I've had nothing but positive experiences throughout. All maintenance calls have been addressed promptly, and office staff are pleasant to interact with. Easily the best renting experience I've had in my near decade in Bloomington.

I was a bit hesitant to rent from Action after reading other reviews here, but they had a home we loved at a reasonable cost so we went for it, and I am so glad we did. Thus far, renting from this company has been fantastic. They have answered any and all service requests promptly and effectively, and they've been very open in communication around property maintenance and expectations. Working with Carey in the office has been absolutely delightful. She is extremely personable and she's been so helpful to our family. We've really enjoyed this rental home, and I endorse our experience with Action.

When I moved into one of their properties it had been sitting empty for over 8 months. I was told it would be professionally cleaned. The maintenance people were the ones to clean it. It was extremely musty with very old paint. Although it did have new carpet the place was not clean. Also it was built in 1960 and was owned by someone who lived out of the country and obviously didn't care about anything but a monthly check. During my 1 year there I noticed three different maintenance people hired. Although they were pretty responsive about maintenance, when I moved out they took my entire deposit and charged me for new paint, cleaning, and other miscellaneous stuff. Moved in and the house wasn't super clean. (Tho well maintained) So when we moved out it was much to our surprise that we were going to be charged for every little thing THEY felt needed to be cleaned, walls touched up, lawn, and "general maintenance". The costs of which were all astronomical! $150 to mow the lawn which didn't really need it, 7 hours of cleaning totalling $440 after we cleaned everything, $240 for touch up painting for a few smudges on the walls (including an entire gallon of paint to do it) All of which magically totalled up to just under the deposit amount. I would be very cautious about dealing with this company. As other reviewers mention, Linda is quite satisfied with her system of doing things and doesn't control her disdain for the people she is renting to. I know i

If I could give no stars I would. Never rented from here and would never consider it after the 'customer service' recieved from a simple inquiring phone call. Rude and unprofessional. I have called several (probably close to 20) apartment complexes for a friend, trying to help him out, just to get idea, and haven't once been talked to in a manner in which I felt wasn't necessary until calling this property. The lady who answered wouldn't even tell me if they had anything available. Wasn't able to tell me if they accept certain backgrounds ("well its case by case" although I'm telling you the exact circumstances, without paying for an application. There is a reason I'm calling for someone else to get info, maybe they are unable to do so? Maybe they work all day and don't have any free time?
