United Jewelers and Lee Hardware Apartments

I lived in both United Jewelers and Lee Hardware Apartments when they were newly built, and I initially had high expectations. Unfortunately, several significant issues emerged almost immediately. The parking security gate was often left open, allowing unauthorized vehicles to park, particularly during events. The elevator frequently malfunctioned, and we constantly had to deal with strangers wandering the property, along with non-residents occupying our parking lot due to the broken security gate. I repeatedly reported these issues to the leasing office, but my complaints were largely ignored. This lack of action forced me to move out without retrieving my deposit to avoid any potential retaliation. What began as a promising living experience quickly evolved into an intolerable situation.

EDIT: I should preface this review by stating that the frustrations expressed herein are derived from and directed towards the upper management "big wigs" of HRI Properties (whose headquarters is located far away in new orleans), and who solely possess the authority to correct the problems outlined below. I have no problems with the staff here on site. We all get along and do our best to make this a comfortable place to live. I came to TOUR an apartment and one of the residents freaked out and took pictures of me because she was 100% convinced I was scoring drugs and tried to fight me with on the street. Apparently there is a severe drug problem in these apartments and the United Jeweler apartments. I don’t recommend, even though the leasing agent was SUPER nice.

These are the facts: One night, it sounded like a woman was in trouble/pain. Turns out she was bent over out the window while a guy was having sex with her. Recently, a guy was yelling, “Hail Hitler!” out the window. There is trash all over and it takes many days for it to be removed. The police are called to this place more often than a monthly basis. Most of the time, there is no ambulance and someone usually exits in handcuffs. Two women were rolling on the sidewalk and crying, twitching, and blabbering—many indications that they were on drugs. Cars will often pull up and blast music for several minutes to an hour. On top of that, the walls are thin, so you will be able to hear what your neighbor is watching on TV.
