My boyfriend lived at Cornerstone from 2015 to 2018: I moved in with him in October 2017. The property started out being properly maintained but has gone way downhill in recent years. Broken windows, problems with drugs (cocaine/heroin) being sold on the property and in the laundry room, people walking around carrying un-holstered firearms at night. The air conditioner broke in the summer of 2016: it took management 8 months to fix it. The air conditioner then broke again in 2017: when we left in 2018, it was still not fixed. We also had problems with palm-sized roaches, mice and rats. I caught 12 mice and 5 wood rats (bigger than my hand) between October 2017 and October 2018. Not good security at all !!!! Houses & cars are broken into all the time ... People walking home from the bus stop or work getting robbed by an armed man that is out of it !!! Also heard gunshots throughout the entire time I’ve lived here (5-8yrs) & not much has changed ... But when I was younger like 15yrs ago these apartments where VERY NICE & Classy apartments ?!?!? Idk what changed but hopefully they will get it back into the way it use too be !!!!

My roommate and I lived here for three years. The most persistent and stressful issue throughout was our A/C issues, which were never fully taken seriously despite repeated requests. It was eye-opening reading reviews from other residents whose A/C issues were fixed immediately, something we never experienced ourselves. The first summers living at the apartment involved emptying a multi-gallon bucket several times a day because the A/C was leaking so much. Because of the constant leaking that remained throughout our duration living there, the upstairs carpet became ruined, and mold spread on the ceiling. I’ve lived here for 2 years and have really seen the difference new ownership and management has made the past few months. Just moved into a renovated unit and love it—looks great and feels brand new. Maintenance is quick, and the team actually listens and responds to concerns. Highly recommend!
