Had lots of mice while I lived there. I let the office know on multiple occasions and pest control was sent out numerous times. Pest control will bait and set traps and the property manager offers to send them out or get one of the stray cats that roam the complex.. there has got to be an infestation. I called, reached out via email, and in person nothing was ever resolved. You have to call multiple times for them to come out and they don't do any follow up visits. Even after emailing pictures and videos of the mice on the traps, running around, droppings EVERYWHERE, chewed up carpet, and holes in the floor. the day I moved out the property manager came to "see what was going on" with pest control. We want to hear from people who ALREADY LIVE HERE. And start including building numbers to the good or bad reviews please and thank you. Unless it was something unprofessional we don't care about how your move in was or who helped you. We want to know what goes down once you've fully moved in.

I recently moved out of Lerner Surrey Apartments after a clean and well-documented final walkthrough on August 8, 2025. The apartment was fully cleaned, and the only “issue” noted was minor carpet wear and light spots the kind of traffic marks that naturally happen in any lived-in space. In Maryland, normal wear and tear is not a valid reason to withhold a security deposit, yet management immediately indicated they would replace the entire carpet and keep my $500 deposit. The carpet was already several years old at move-in, and Maryland law requires any replacement to be prorated for depreciation..... something they are ignoring. I’ve reached out to Mr. David multiple times on August 20, September 1, September 24, and September 29, 2025 and have yet to receive a single response. Each time, I received automated messages saying he had limited access and would reply upon his return. Those dates have long passed, and I’m still waiting to hear back. I first contacted Faye, the property manager, almost a year ago (October 27, 2024) about getting new carpet in my living room, dining area, and hallway, as well as having my bathroom sink reglazed. Nearly a year later, not one of these issues has been addressed, and not one message has been followed up on. This level of neglect and lack of communication is completely unacceptable. As I entering the property the overview was inviting very clean and the office staff very professional. Tour the property with Fay/ property manager looking for 1 bedroom the apartment very clean balcony very large. Will consider renting in January 2026.
