Forest Hills Apartments

I lived here for almost 4 years and have nothing but nice things to say about Danielle, Christine and the entire maintenance staff. I lived in a 3 bedroom townhouse with a garage, small fenced backyard and loved it. Whenever I had an issue I was able to call maintenance and they were prompt and took care of the issue especially when it was just me and the dogs ( husband deployed). Everyone is is so friendly and helpful and my move out process was easy and a great experience. Would definitely recommend this place and if we ever get stationed at Drum again I would move back here in a heartbeat. 😊

There is plenty I can say about this place. They’ve been running $500 deposits on their website for years and still charging first months rent for deposits for “High Risk units” management is awful, they do not follow the rules and guidelines they set out in their policies, but will use them against you as the tenant. Maintenance was the only good thing here when it was previous staff, all others did cookie cutter work or wouldn’t fix until you left. You may receive a no cause termination with nothing to substantiate it(experiences vary). If you own pets, you WILL be charged for carpet, whether a small or big animal. If you do rent here, write EVERYTHING down to the last scratch, it will come back to bite you later.

I have had the absolute pleasure of staying with Forest Hills over the last two years. What I received during this time was a more than adequate home in a small town area that allowed me to decompress while away from my time at work. It was an absolute pleasure commuting through the country everyday while I made my way to and from work. I think where this complex really stood out was the incredible professionalism of the staff. The Ladies in the office consistently offered outstanding support and the maintenance staff was always prompt to address any concerns. I think where the complex could really improve is the roadways. The roads have suffered greatly over the many upstate winters they have been exposed to and have deteriorated to a point where it is quite dreadful to drive on. Overa

Forest Hills is a great place to live. We lived here for three years. (2016-2019) The older units, that we lived in, were sturdy and nice BUT there is no central air. You have to reply on window units that drive up your power bill if you want to live comfortably. Snow removal and trash pick up is all included in the rent, which is awesome! But the roads are a bit rough and they dont always fill in the pot holes. The ladies at the office are really nice and good people. That's also coming from renters who never had a complaint on them and never had a problem paying rent. Rent is also reasonably priced for BAH for military.

This is a excellent place to live! It's peaceful and everyone is so nice. The office staff is very helpful and friendly, and very professional. Maintenance is on top of it when you need things fixed. They don't make you wait, unlike other places we have lived in the past. There is lawn care, and snow removal included in the rent. You also get free basic cable (not too many places offer that any more) I wouldn't pay too much attention to bad reviews, because we all know they mostly come from people who got evicted, and/or didn't pay rent, or caused issues. If you are looking for a nice neighborhood, with nice clean and well kept places, you won't be disappointed here. Don't just take my word for it, check it out for yourselves :)
