Shoddy construction with lots of corner cutting. They don’t seal or paint the bottom of base boards, so the MDF acts as a sponge. I’ve found drywall seams not taped which has caused cracking in the wall. They installed cracked sheathing, which is now causing roof issues. Of course they’ll only cover any of this under their “warranty” for a year. I would never purchase a David Weekley home again and would advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere.

We were relieved and excited to build our home with David Weekley in Daybreak in May of this year. We locked in a price and knew we would have to wait a little while for construction to begin, but felt fully invested in our decision. As interest rates began to rise at an unprecedented rate, (and we weren’t able to lock in a rate because our project hadn’t been approved and construction had not been started) we began to get very nervous that we’d both be overpaying for our home and have an untenable mortgage. We began looking elsewhere and went under contract for another home. David Weekley has been unwilling to discuss returning the $15k we put down as an earnest payment, despite our genuine financial concerns, the unprecedented changes to the current market, and the fact that our project

I regret buying a David Weekly home! They are full of promises that they never keep! The workmanship in my house is cheap and has no attention to detail. My biggest issue has been dealing with the HOA they set up for us. I have a villa style home with a side yard. They sold us by having the green space in the side yard we love that the space was useable. After a three year battle of trying to get the grass to live they decided it wasn’t going to work. I think the grass could have lived but they had their head landscaper hook up the sprinklers to water the side yard and the front water the same amount of time. Which left us with a swampy muddy mess. Finally after three years of fighting the HOA and contacting David Weekly they said they were going to resolve the issue. They rejected our req

Building with David weekly in Holbrook Farms in Lehi has been a nightmare. They have not fulfilled any of their promises. They promised us green space in our side yards and I have now been fighting for over 3 years after their horrible landscaping company killed it 3 times over. Also due to their abysmal landscaping/management if their subcontractors, the sprinkler irrigation system they laid was faulty and flooded my basement and they took no accountability. My list of complaints is too long for this review but stay away! I will post pictures if the "green space" they provided. They are now "fixing" it with a worse situation, even after homeowners complained and said no. I would give them a zero star rating if I could.

Horrific experience once our house was built. We were promised a small side yard with green space (DW villas in Holbrook Farms)— a huge selling point for us with a small child. After a year of living here DW decided to get rid of the side yard and replace it with mulch, which makes that area literally useless and unusable. There was no consulting with the home owners to come up with a positive solution. So frustrated and will never work with DW again because of it. Will also not ever recommend for future builds.
