They stole my entire deposit and invoiced me several time for the same thing in different verbiage. I’ve never rented from a company that lacked such professionalism, communication credibility. If for any reason, you’re thinking to rent, one of their properties out, be prepared for the unexpected. literally, this company burned me. I was a great tenant. Paid my rent on time every month and took very good care of the property. I was astonished when I received my deposit in the mail, I think that if they hired all new staff, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. until then, I don’t recommend going to this place. There’s so much more I can say, but I’ll keep this short.

We rented with California West for over 20 years, and our experience was consistently positive throughout that time. Beatrice was always incredibly helpful—she responded quickly to any concerns or maintenance issues and made sure everything was taken care of promptly and professionally. In 2022 we purchased a home and put in our 30 day notice. During the move-out process, Lilliana went above and beyond to make the transition smooth and stress-free. She was kind, responsive, and made sure all our questions were answered. I highly recommend!

I rented from Cal West and was greatly pleased with their professionalism and diligence. The office staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and remembered me at each visit. They were repeatedly quick at getting all maintenance requests fulfilled. At one point, I had a non-emergency plumbing issue and they reached out immediately at 8am and had a plumber out same day. Additionally, when I had to break lease, they did a great job getting the apartment shown and filled quickly. They really relieved a lot of stress and worry by being so on top of things. The professionalism and responsiveness that I got from Cal West is exactly what I hope for in a property management company. I hope all of my property management interactions could be like the one I've had with these folks.

If you’re looking for a property management company that genuinely values its residents, I highly recommend California West.

The agents didn't even know all of the information about the house when I rented. The house wasn't fully cleaned when I moved in. After black mold started growing, I asked for help and they sent someone and never followed up. California West does not care about you and only wants your money. Even if you clean the apartment they will charge you way more than market price and take half of your security deposit. "Angie" is extremely unprofessional and is a hothead. I would advise avoiding her at all costs. Everyone else is okay but clearly nobody enjoys working at this corporate hell hole. At first it seems great. You are excited to move into a new place, the demand for places is high, etc. Do NOT rent from these people. It is not worth the trouble in the long term.
