Birchwood Square Apartments

I have been living here for 5 months now. Everything is great. Only issue i had is with maintenance as they don’t address things quickly at all and sometimes i would call them over 5 times to get stuff done. But recently a new land lord purchased the complex and ever since then things have been working perfectly. All maintenance calls were taken care of within hours! They are professional and their portal is a lot more user friendly.

I have been living here for a few months. The man who lives next door constantly smokes inside. I have emailed 3 times regarding this and have received no response. I have spent over 500 dollars on means to reduce the impact of his smoke in my unit. It’s impacted all of my belonging and even my car. There are also persistent issues with fruit flies and the smell of garbage. UPDATE: Management responded to this review and asked me to reach out directly, which I did immediately. To which they responded saying they’ll look into it. Since then, I have received no response to multiple follow up emails, and the issue remains completely unresolved. I wrote one of this a while ago and it’s not going to be better this time. My rent sky rocketed while the care for the apartments are abysmal at best. The hallway ceiling was leaking so instead of patching it out the put a wood screw in it to hold it up where it was saying, my ceiling in the living room leaks every winter and I told them about it multiple times in the last 4 years, my ceiling has water damage from my upstairs neighbor for about 6 weeks still not fixed, my air conditioner is broke hasn’t worked in 5 weeks. Today I called on behalf of parents, who are going through a difficult time, my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, my mom left with my father to Rochester to care for her. I called because they signed there lease on March 5th with a move in date for the first of April. As we all know cancer does not discriminate unfortunately and with my grandmother being sick my mother who is devastated wanted me to call and see if there is any possibility of either breaking the lease or moving the date or what options we had. I was a tenant for 2 years. Office staff is rude and head maintenance man would rather insult you than listen to the issues you’re experiencing. If you want a landlord that will care about the issues you’re having with your apartment, live somewhere else. And their snow removal is atrocious.
