Western Heights Apartments

Didn't live there but tried to call the office so I could schedule a tour and it was nearly impossible just doing that. Their own website doesn't give the office location, hours, or phone number. And on their website it shows the newly renovated apartment as a trap. I found pictures and it has dark brown stains in the corner of the ceiling and walls, bathroom light switch didn't have a cover, drain plug was disgusting. Never got a chance to tour it and it's already a disaster.

I give it two stars because the property manager is nice and does everything she can to keep the place nice. And the coordinator is nice and helpful. It is a typical hud housing property . The problem as always is with the property management company who expect way to much of its property manager. They expect her to not only manage the building and deal with people's drama but they expect her to clean to building's because they are to cheap to hire a part time cleaner. When you complain to the property management office they just blow it off and don't reply back. I sent a letter to them a few months ago and never got a response. There thought is probably if you don't like it then move. Very frustrating and wrong on there part.

One of the buildings is older, but well cared for- and the new building is spectacular. The management and service coordinator do everything they can to help out the residents and help them get adjusted. We recently moved my dad from a small town to the "big city" of Sioux Falls and he has adjusted really well here with the help of the staff and the friendly residents! Nothing to be scared of here.
