I have live here for along time . The old management were so nice and keep the property in good condition. The management company they have now is terrible. The place has gone downhill.It is advised as “ no pet community “ . There are so many dogs. I see one lady with 3 dogs. Nobody has 3 emotional support dogs. The trash is overflowing at the dumpers . I would not recommend anyone move here
Waterford apartments is entirely the wrong choice for your home. Don’t let the pretty buildings and up kept grounds fool you. It is a terrible, awful, horrendous choice for a home. We were kicked out (non-renewal) for no reason, and given no reason. And we fought it but it didn’t work so it’s been 3 months. We randomly get a 900 dollar bill from them for shit that we did not do. They sent the bill to a debt collector instead of me directly. So now I have to pay that in full because they decided that was the better route to screw me over. They “cleaned” the tub and charged us over 165.00. And fees for broken window blinds which we also did not do. The maintenance manager Ed is a liar and a fraud. I’ve also read and heard from friends that live there that he is very aggressive towards women.
DO NOT move here if you work from home or are home a lot. As previously stated in reviews do not work with Dawn she will call and email multiple times until you make your final deposit and tell you one price then add additional fees after move in and not speak with you after she’s taken your money to move in. If you bring up any issues to her specifically she WILL NOT do anything about it. If anything please work with Kendra if this is your last resort to move in she was understanding and somewhat helpful with what she could. The roaches will be blamed on you and the lake near by. Regarding noise again if you work and speak with Dawn she will not do anything about it until you threaten to put your rent into Escrow which they will then try to get YOU to move out instead of fixing the probl
I've lived here for over 2 years and have enjoyed my time so far. I really like the back area that's connected to the lakeside, as well as maintenance being pretty on top of things. Any time I have had an issue it was taken care of fairly quickly, if not right away. For example my door knob fell off and maintenance came and took care of it immediately after I told them about it (shout out to the Supervisor and Will). The people at the leasing office are good at returning emails, easy to talk to and are quite understanding. I havent had any issues with them. The location is convenient if youre military, and want close beach access. It also provides an extra sense of security since its gated. The negative comments here are all valid. The old management was great and this place was budget friendly, but the new management only seems focused on money. The rent is now ridiculously high—one bedroom's rents is more expensive than most two-bedroom apartments in the area. All my friends have moved out because of this. I had to move out when my wife had just had a C-section and our baby was only four weeks old. I informed them on the 20th of the month, so I was charged a late fee, a lease termination fee, and a cleaning fee, which I paid. To my surprise, I was then hit with an additional $500 TRASH AND FURNITURE REMOVAL FEE. When I asked about it, I was told it was because I left a single mattress in the apartment.
