Visionary Homes

We love our new home (been in for just over a year) and Mike the warranty guy was extremely helpful! There were a few things that needed adjusting after we moved in and Mike came over multiple times and went above and beyond to made sure we were taken care of. We're so happy with it all and especially appreciate Mike and the warranty team. Everything we had a question or concern about has been addressed. Looking forward to raising our family here. We just built in the Carson Ridge community and I’m pretty un-impressed overall, wouldn’t recommend this builder to any friends or family. I know the people who have moved in here so far have had similar experiences as we have. Coming from a construction background I think we caught a lot more wrong with these homes than a lot of home buyers would. The subs they hire have almost no accountability, feels like nobody cares for the quality of the job but just getting the job “done”. A few examples are in my living room I have 3 windows, the entire wall is framed out of plum, causing all the window jams to be crooked. The pony wall in my house next to the stairs was framed crooked and instead of taking it out and building it right they just added Sheetrock and a ton of mud to disguise it. Walk

We closed about a week ago and the gone buying/building process has been incredibly difficult. Visionary sold off to an international company a few months ago and has now introduced a new "streamlined process" that is everything else but streamlined. They have packages you choose from that have zero exceptions to swap- your package determines you paint color, flooring color cabinet color, Baseboard and drywall corner style, door style, tile, backsplash, etc. Their highest and most expensive packages includes a cheap laminate flooring. We asked them if we could bring in our own flooring that was waterproof and scratch resistant as we have kids and dogs and the answer was no. I would not suggest visionary to even my worst enemy. Building a home was our dream. When we finally had the opportunity to build in Tooele, we ultimately selected visionary because of the “upgrades” that were part of their included package. The worst mistake we made was choosing visionary. The whole process was a nightmare, I will spare the details of the building process because it was during the supply shortages and being a plumber, I know how it goes. The end result was a subpar home with stained carpets (the carpet went in before cabinets, countertops, tile, and hardwood), cabinets that were not what we selected and paid extra for, paint colors and trims that were not what we selected and paid extra for, the list goes on… Their superintendent was absolutely clueless and myself and my

The more I reflect on our experiences with visionary homes the more impressed I am. We have been in our home almost 2 years now and each time I look at other builders I am grateful for our house. Overall there will always be things that come up with a new build but the quality of our house keeps us enjoying it daily! Super grateful visionary doesn’t build houses that feel like they are on top of each other and we actually got a decent sized yard with our house. We worked with Jason on this house and he was always willing to help answer questions and help as problems arose. We’d also love to mention that we considered moving to Logan recently and worked with Dustin and he was just as professional to work with! I highly recommend if you’re on the fence!
