If I could give this rental company/person (Shannon) zero stars I would. We have been living in a rental of hers for 2 years now and since move in it has been nothing but issues. Rewind to first moving in and we had so many electrical issues with electric/air condition etc for the first couple of weeks. She sent someone right away but the issue continued until this last year when someone came and said the electric was unsafe and outdated and needed to be fixed so she finally did that. Up until then continued to have power outages in kitchen and lost food in fridge on more than one occasion. Have also had issues with extreme mold that has now gotten me diagnosed with severe asthma (I've never had before) that I need medical injections every 8 weeks that cost 11,000 per shot. Shannon and her team have been wonderful to rent from! I had such a smooth and comfortable process getting into my apartment. Until I'm ready to buy a home, I plan to continue to go through VanderRight. I've never had a company be so attentive to maintenance items and be so timely with responses for any of my needs. DO NOT CHOOSE VANDERRIGHT LLC TO LEASE WITH UNLESS YOU WANT TO DESPISE WHERE YOU LIVE DUE TO THEIR INCOMPETENCE AND INSISTANCE TO MILK ANY MONEY THEY CAN GET FROM YOU. NOT TO MENTION THE SIOUX FALLS REDDIT PAGE HAS A SUBREDDIT ON VANDERRIGHT LOADED IN HORRIBLE COMMENTS!!! ALSO REPORT ANY REVIEWS FROM PROPERTY OWNERS AS CONFLICT OF INTEREST AS THEY ARE IN BUSINESS WITH THEM, NOT LEASING!!! THE MAJORITY OF THEIR FIVE STAR REVIEWS ARE NOT FROM TENANTS BUT FROM AFFILIATED BUSINESS PARTNERS!!!! I resigned my lease from JL property management with them when they took over. The lease was for April 1st 2025. I resigned it early. In March 2025, I noticed a fee on my account for no renters insurance, which I had, and still have - it has never lapsed. I responded to them that they have it on file.

Shannon was great to work with! As a Realtor and friend, she manages my investment properties and always responds quickly and is very knowledgeable about the rental market. She has also helped clients of mine who are investors from other states. I would highly recommend!
