Union Park Apartments

Would NEVER recommend moving here. I was there for about 8 years and it was ok at first. Management changed and it got terrible. I moved out because the place was giving me jail flashbacks. People yelling about whatever and punching the walls in the hallway all hours of the day and night. Constant slamming of doors from all the foot traffic. At the end of 2024 someone on my floor got shot because people were trying to break into his apartment to rob them. Cops were at that apartment about once or twice a month, sometimes more. Found feces in the inside stairwell on multiple occasions. People there let there dogs run all over and never pick up. I hope it was from a dog. Trash all over the place, all the time. As the onsite management/caretaker, I really appreciate the opportunity Gaughan has given us. The team work of the different departments is amazing. I've especially been impressed with maintenance and how hard they work to keep up with repairs. Also, appreciate the training. Last but not least, the residents in the building who make Union Park home, many have been here years and it is a pretty quiet and peaceful building thanks to the residents.

The caretaker/manger of the apartment was miserable, not friendly at all. She sits in her apartment 24/7 and counts how many people coming in and out of your apartment. A friend of mine went outside to smoke and I gave him the outside door key but she took the key away from him. I asked her why she took but her answer was "cannot be used by other person". I tried to explain to her that he went to smoke but she doesn’t want listen but talk. I am glad the lady is gone. The new taker seems very nice.

We moved to this building from Milwaukee, WI back in 2017. We initially had trouble finding a place because the rental application requirements are stringent in the Twin cities area and we didn't have jobs lined up at the time. However, one of the resident managers, Jireh, said they would take cash/investment assets into account. Thankfully we got accepted and we both got jobs out here soon thereafter. I want to thank Gaughan companies and Jireh and Kayla for helping us settle out here! The apartments are reasonably priced and the other residents are friendly and courteous. The area this building is in is so-so, but for the most part it is quiet. One big plus is that it is close to the train line to downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. They also have a free parking lot in the back.

Been trying to call this place for over a month, been leaving a lot of messages and they never got back to me. Every single time I called, no one answers. So is this a scam or something or are they not getting my voice mails? It would be nice if they could get back to me.
