We hired Tourmaline for a major remodel of our house in Solana Beach. Its rare you find a contractor that can be relied upon for communication, expertise, reliability, and integrity from start to finish, and Tourmaline exceeded all of our expectations. They are simply phenomenal to work with, from our day-to-day team of Zach and Katheryne to the owners Ben and Jake. We were actually a little sad when the project was done that it meant our regular interactions with Tourmaline were winding down as well. Most important of all, they stand behind their work and take ownership of any problems that need to be solved. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to build a high-quality custom home.

My wife and I are the second owners of a home Tourmaline built in Point Loma. While we sat in our family room one rainy Saturday morning, we noticed that water started dripping through the ceiling. Above this ceiling is our deck outside of our Master Bedroom. The deck's flooring outside had developed some cracks and clearly the water proofing had failed. We reached out to Tourmaline since the home was a little over 5 years old and left a Voicemail that Saturday afternoon. We purchased a home that had been completely rebuilt by Tourmaline. We have lived in the home for 4 years now. They did an outstanding job with the house! During our inspection, the inspector commented on how Tourmaline didn't just follow the building codes and they actually went beyond that. They are straight-forward and easy to work with. We won't leave our home anytime soon, but we would hesitate to work with them again in the future.
