The Velthuis

Living at the Velthuis has been a good experience so far! It feels safe and comfortable to live here. My apartment is nice and cozy & the leasing manager is a very nice lady! The amenities are always kept clean as well and I would recommend living here because of the safe neighborhood! I will say some only cons is that I can hear every step my upstairs neighbors make. It can get really loud and sometimes shakes my wall. I also would say that the cabinets are cheaply made and put together, as they chip super easily. That part has been annoying, but I’ve made do with what I have.

Kaitlyn was absolutely wonderful during my showing of the Velthuis. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. She answered all of my questions clearly and gave great insight into the property and surrounding area. Her positive attitude and professionalism stood out—I truly felt like she had my best interest in mind. Highly recommend working with Kaitlyn!

Poor communication from on-site management and leasing team. I submitted an application, was approved, and told that a lease would be sent to me shortly. After days of nothing, I reached out only to find that someone else had applied before me and had signed the lease already. I received absolutely no notice, despite numerous attempts to get a response, that the unit I applied for was no longer available. And, I had met the property manager in person during this time with no indication. It's apparent from other reviews and my personal experience that there is a severe lack of professionalism and communication with this property and management company.

I absolutely loved my time living here! The apartment style is modern, comfortable, and well thought out — it really feels like home. The amenities are incredible, from the sparkling indoor pool and relaxing hot tub to the fully equipped gym that makes working out convenient and enjoyable. The entire complex is spotless, well-maintained, and smoke-free, which makes for such a fresh and healthy living environment. The staff here truly goes above and beyond, and I have to give special recognition to Victoria Phillips. She is one of the most compassionate, understanding, and genuinely helpful people I’ve ever met. There are many other reviews talking about poor management at this location. We showed up for a tour and the leasing agent couldn’t even bother to show up or answer a call. We called their number directly and the number on the door for maintenance and got hung up on without talking to a real person. Stay far away from this place. I have heard from others who have rented with the same management company in the past who were hit with unexpected fees upon move out and were double charged and never refunded. They don’t respect you or your time.
