The Marshall

Very clean, modern, newly-constructed facility with large open areas for studying, relaxing, working out, inviting courtyards, workout room, basketball court, pool, dog-friendly space, furnished rooms with updated amenities, including free coffee and a Target next door for grabbing whatever is needed. Beautiful and modern interior with friendly, uptempo vibe. Perfect for college students looking for a great alternative to dorm life.

The Marshall is a great place to live. The lobby is clean and spacious with plenty of study spaces. The apartments are really nice and have everything we need. Having outdoor areas to hang out is plus as well.

Tried to charge cleaning and repair charges after move-out. As parents of a student tenant, we personally cleaned the apartment as we were aware of Greystar's reputation for these types of move-out charges. We were sent an invoice for cleaning (dusting) charges and repair charges for over $500. When I pushed back they reduced the charges to $300 and provided several blurry photos as "evidence". Eventually they have sent their claims to a collection agency, but I continue to refuse to pay as we know these charges are not legitimate. By the way, I've had 4 kids complete a total of 16+ years college and have never run into problems like this before. If you don't want the hassle we are still going through, I strongly suggest you stay away from Greystar-managed properties like The Marshall.

I moved into The Marshall for my senior year and couldn’t be happier! I’ve met so many great friends (and a few animal ones in the courtyard ). The location is super convenient and close to all my classes. Definitely recommend living here!

I really enjoyed my years living at The Marshall while attending the University of Minnesota. The amenities made daily life so convenient, and I especially appreciated the mail room — I never had to worry about the security of my packages, which is such a relief as a student constantly ordering books, supplies, or the occasional treat. The leasing manager, Karli, was a standout during my time there. She was always pleasant, professional, and made sure I was well taken care of, even while juggling a busy office and the needs of other residents. Overall, I highly recommend The Marshall as a great place to live (and study!) for anyone attending the U. It was more than just student housing — it really felt like a home as I made so many friends there!!!
