The Larking

It took forever and several tours of different apartments that didn’t fit. Then one night I randomly cam across The Larking. It says a lot that I committed sight unseen! AJ was so helpful in getting through my questions and my application on NYE, the whole thing was smooth though time consuming - I do love the extensiveness though it makes me feel good to know my neighbors all passed too! I moved in today so it’s all so fresh. I came into a very clean sanitized apartment with cute little welcome gifts. Chenoa was so incredibly helpful in my moving. Answered questions, lended my dad and I her gloves because we were freezing, and helped us when the elevator wouldn’t go. The move was a lot easier because of her help! I recently toured a beautiful unit with gorgeous views. Amenities were well kept and nicely decorated. AJ was informative, upbeat and very kind. We hope to call The Larking home soon!

I had high hopes for this community, but unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. Although the building is advertised as smoke-free, there is a strong and frequent marijuana smell in the hallways. It gets so noticeable that residents often need to use plug-in air fresheners in the hallway just to make the air tolerable. This has been ongoing and takes away from the comfort of living here. The gym is also very underwhelming for a property of this size. While the room itself is large, it is mostly empty space. There is only one leg machine and one StairMaster, with very limited equipment overall. For anyone who takes fitness seriously, this is not a functional gym — it feels more like a half-finished amenity rather than a fully equipped fitness center. Overall, while the buildi

The walkthrough was amazing, Chenoa really knew her stuff and was pleasant the entire time. I am usually an anxious person but felt very comfortable and welcomed. Also bonus points to her response time on email. It was 5 stars until now, they just changed management which sucks but I wouldn’t lower my star rating for that. Issue is with the change of management they also discontinued a way to just charge my account directly. Asking for a check for this month. Of course we were just informed this yesterday and I don’t have time in my super busy schedule to travel to my back to get a check book to write a check. This is severely inconvenient for your tenants, oh I also have to write one for my neighbor since he’s in Europe otherwise we get charged an 8% late fee. I am very annoyed with this

Living at The Larking has changed my views of apartment living in the BEST way! I’ve lived in apartments in NYC, CA, TN, MA, and now here, and it’s been such a wonderful experience. Moved in here in March 2023. The maintenance staff (Derrick, Dan) are so friendly and helpful. The front desk reception (Dale specifically), always has a smile on! The management team and leasing team (Jarred, AJ, Jackie) - all of them are great at their jobs and always engage with such warmth. It’s been so refreshing compared to other apartments that I’ve lived in, including in North Loop area, which was just terribly managed and all around a mistake so we left when the lease was up!… I love the community spaces here - the gym has a ballet barre which I use often, and the sauna gets really hot!
