DO NOT LIVE HERE. This photo pretty much sums up my time at this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone. First, my kitchen flooded several times. Maintenance attempted to fix the problem, but essentially told me there was a problem with the pipes and not much could be done. Then, my bathroom proceeded to flood. Several times. Again, maintenance could not pinpoint the problem and essentially put a bandaid on it. Additionally, parking is horrible. You will have to park on an ill lit, dead-end street that oftentimes has homeless people loitering about. Sometimes I can't even get out of my car before a homeless person is at my window asking me something. Oh and do you like central heating and A/C? Don't live here then. Just wanted to say I knew when I moved into Berley that it was a very old bldg. However, I love it. Sure I have had some issues but maintenance has always been on spot at fixing anything I needed. Kudos to them all. Now let me tell you about Marcia. That lady went over and beyond to help me with everything I needed to transition to this 1br that is really perfect for me. At an older age than most that is here, I have been welcomed by so many nice people. I don't see a lot of people as I stay pretty secluded but knowing I can get help if needed is nice. I've been here almost a year and unless any changes are made I'm ok to stay a good while longer. Check it out with Marcia at Highland Historic Properties.

I cannot rate Connor highly enough. As far as Property Managers go, he has by far been the best I’ve dealt with. His willingness to solve issues in a timely manner and fantastic communication skills has made my leasing period very easy. He has answered not only my and my mom’s questions at the drop of a hat but has become truly a friend. It is very comforting during a stressful move to feel like you have someone on your team that honestly wants to find you the perfect spot. He goes above and beyond and has become a friend - fellow pet lover ❤️ too - and has taken so much of a burden off of me and made this a seamless experience. 15,000,000/10 recommend

I have been living in the Highland Apt Communities for almost a year now. I absolutely love my apartment. It has so much charm and character and I feel so at home. Because it is such an old building there are some things that need constant maintenance but Mia and Jay have been great. They always respond promptly to any issues that I have and work around my crazy schedule. They are also very accommodating when it comes to my dog. They know she is super anxious baby and they always go out of their way to make sure she is taken care of and feeling safe before they allow anyone into my apartment to do repairs or whatnot.

I love my little apartment at the Phares! It’s been such a great experience living here. Mia is the best! She is super responsive, and handles any question or concerns I have. Jay(maintenance) is amazing as well! Any work order I have ever put in has been handled within 24 hours. So happy I’ve decided to call this apartment home.
