The Edge at Mountain Shadow

My wife and I have lived here less than 6 months. We have twin babies and a 6 year old. We have asked countless and countless times for them to come and fix the cracks in our apartment and all we’re answered with is we’ll have somebody out there in a few weeks. They don’t care about their tenants they only care about themselves and making a profit. I seriously DO NOT RECOMMEND these apartments or any apartments own by these people!!! Also Tammy the main manager is a real piece of work. She likes to hear herself talk and beside the unfair treatment that I’ve received she is the 2nd main reason why I am glad to be getting out of here. If you are looking for a beautiful place that is welcoming and delightful well……this complex is NOT it!!!! Don’t even go to the website this place is so down r

These apartments were not built to safety codes. I had several maintenance requests the entire time I lived there that were all because the construction crew did not even finish the job! Thank God the new management has better maintenance and they were finally able to fix it. We even had a door fall on my 5 year old and it was a solid wood accordion door for the laundry. When we looked there was no screw holding it into the floor and the screws holding it into the wall were not in an anchor of any kind just 1/4 of an inch of drywall! The windows failed within a couple of months and I was told to just not open the one that didn't work from day 1 and oh well to the other one. The new management sent a glass expert who said he could fix the one and the other one was a mess up from constructio

I will say that since Atlas Real Estate has taken over management of this property things have been running much more smoothly. However, most of my time spent in this apartment has been a mess. Multiple packages have been stolen out of our mailbox and even out of the lockers. For a long time there was no answer to any of our concerns or maintenance requests. We are being way overcharged for what we get. There are no amenities and no leasing office to easily access if you have issues. Overall nice apartments but you would probably be better off at a different complex. Other places offer way more for the same price. UPDATE: Do not rent from Atlas Real Estate. They are money hungry and very difficult to get in contact with. It became very evident in my last few months renting from them they

The management of this property did ~slightly~ improve with Atlas taking over in early 2024. However, considering the standard was EXTREMELY LOW in the first place, that's not saying much. During our move out process, we received very little communication from Atlas regarding the move out procedures beyond them putting a lockbox on the door with the key code. Then, about a month after we moved out, we started to receive text messages from Atlas saying we had an outstanding bill and our account was about to be sent to collections - without any previous notification from their team that we owed anything at all. They claimed it was because they didn't have a forwarding address from us to send us these bills - but they never asked us for one in the first place, despite having our phone number

Just finished a year lease here and 100% recommend it. Tammy specifically made my experience great, she is kind and addressed all of my concerns promptly. The location is also unbeatable, I always felt safe. You can walk right across the street to access Ute Valley Park and Garden of the Gods is a 5 minute drive away.
