The Bruckner House

I have lived here for a year+ and management is very unprofessional and lack respect for voucher holders . They advertise laundry room(none ) and they harass tenants when sitting in the common area for no reason ( don't forget signs that says only 15 minutes policy ) but have non tenants in and out all the time . Police department is always here for safety concerns and super of the building address issues when he feels like it! Look at the response back you can tell management lack respect for individuals experiences . If you want to live where you don't feel safe , management lack respect, where mold is around the bathroom, mailroom/ package area get flooded list goes on .... Move here!

Building is a mess, definitely look elsewhere. The cops are here multiple times a week responding to domestic disturbances. Game room is missing half the games, gym also has many weights moving. There have been multiple VIOLENT crimes committed WITHIN the building and on the street. Management does not take care of the dog run and it constantly reeks so is largely unusable. They even removed all the chairs/couches from the lobby because of loitering so the luxury appeal when you walk in is completely lost. I give two stars because the staff are very kind and the apartments themselves are nice. However, many folks here are eagerly waiting for their lease to be up to escape

My personal experience here has been positive: many buildings in New York are on the older side, and, as a newer development, this has the benefits of a modern construction and amenities. The apartment gets good light, and the staff seem to take matters seriously to provide the help that they can. It's a solid place to live if you're younger in New York and can't live in a walk-up or very old building. Manhattan is overcrowded right now, and the Mott Haven area around this building is really showing up with good eats. I'd definitely live here over the buildings around 125th street with smaller units and less amenities.

Leasing agent Sebastian canceled my viewing at the time we were supposed to meet. I have not heard from him since and no one answers the phone for the number listed on their site. EDIT: After leaving my review I was immediately contacted by Elizabeth. She was very responsive, kind and professional. I was able to get an appointment to see the building the same week and saw multiple apartments within my price range. The building is huge and well designed. All apartments I saw were spotless and as pictured. Elizabeth was able to score me a great deal and promptly approved me for a lease. Thank you for your promptness and professionalism!

Where to begin… I live on the 4th floor and have for about a year. There is a neighbor who is constantly arguing with her husband and kids to the point the police have been called several time. Management has yet to do anything beyond acknowledge the issue. It got so bad I requested to be released from my lease and had to take it all the way to court. There is consistent smoking in both stairwells and, once again, many notifications have been sent; still it continues. I have an air purifier in my apartment and it still doesn’t catch everything. The most recent issue has been, despite all these issue, the amenities (when they work) can’t be found anywhere in the area and the thought of moving after less than a year kills me; so I consider renewing my lease.
