THIS OFFICE WAS VERY HELPFUL TO ME TODAY. Let me say this on the one star review and give my overall out look on that story. The lenders job is to watch the entire tile before they fund the loan. Next everyone involved title and lender have O&E insurance to cover this type of issue. The buyer does not pay taxes for the seller. Also as soon as you close you need to apply for home stead and this will protect your tax so they dont go up. But over all you should be able to write off your tax on your income tax. Not a CPA but that is the normal event. I wish you the best and hope that gets resolved. Tampa title seems like a good group of people to me today.

Its important to inform people about this terrible experience I had with this title company. I closed on a house this past year. Months later the tax bill for the property came and was much higher than what one would expect. Buyers should be aware that because the seller had removed their homestead exemption during the year of the sale, their tax bill was much higher than previous year. The title company for some reason seemed unaware that this was possible (not sure why) and estimated a tax bill based on previous year. They did have a page to sign which stated the seller agreed to pay but there was no enforcement at all. It basically made the buyer responsible to collect the difference in taxes. At no time did the closing company make me aware that this could be an issue. To me, it seems
