I literally moved out of this community after 22 years into one without an HOA. Superstition Springs has changed drastically with the takeover of the Superstition Springs CMA / HOA (not a real mgmt company) who are just a bunch of people with uncontrollable spending practices over the last 7 years. They have an very unscrupulous lawyer that runs the board meetings and they fine everyone for minor offenses. They've declared that the commercial seats on the board ARE the majority so homeowners can never vote to rid themselves of these leaches. They won't show you the books without a lawyer present, are open just 3.5 days a week, doors are always locked even during the days they work and wont open them and tell you to send an email to make an appt over an intercom, they audit themselves a

They do not take care of the landscaping very well on their end, and the amount of dog feces along all walkways. Very sad to see all the mess when walking nightly! And some of the houses are a disaster and have been for 2 months, why have they not been cleaned up? I shall begin walking and taking photos to add to these of your responsibility as well.

Can I leave negative stars? The worst hoa on the planet. they continually harrass the residents with violations for OTHER properties. refuse to return calls or emails. they send 1st and 2nd violation notices ON THE SAME DAY! Send violations for landscaping when the common areas look like a trash sight. Ever since Anne the management of this community has gone to the toilet.

This HOA seems to be inconsistent in providing homeowner’s citations. My personal experience and the most recent situation I found out about from the title company that is working with my realtor. A complaint by the HOA regarding new Pella windows installed in my home. I never received a citation about an “appearance” issue of a large window that faces the street. The complaint filed involved a minor aesthetic feature—the new window does not have a grid pattern—. I believe the SS HOA should focus on major issues that should be resolved rather than petty minutia. I have been penalized by the HOA without receiving a citation and just learned from my realtor that has the home listing which was recently sold with a 1/30 closing date. We sent our quarterly check to the HOA, written for $128.56. To our disbelief after looking at our checking account a few days later, they had withdrawn $1,126.58 - $1000 more than we wrote the check for. We were shocked. So our bank said we could dispute the charge but it could take 5 to 7 days to finish the investigation. In the meantime we are unable to pay our mortgage until this resolved. We finally contacted the HOA office on Monday morning who just told us there was nothing they could do. So after further questioning them, they told us we would have to contact their bank, CIT Bank, because they were the only ones who could help fix this.
