The equestrian Bronx This building has a slew of problems from thin walls, loud neighbors ( due to VERY thin walls), weed smoke, and roaches and rats( first two floors). My problem began when I was trying to sublease my apartment for the remaining three months I had on my lease per RSC § 2525.6 in my lease that allows me to have a chance to. They flat out denied my request even though it’s NYC law to have a valid reason to do so, invalidating their renewal lease they gave me. I made it known that if that’s not possible I will be leaving on 11/15/2025. They agreed and said that my security deposit will be sent to me with the legal time frame of two weeks minus any damage outside the normal wear and tear. My Ac/heating unit co detector has been going off in the middle of night and the management company made 6 appointments with me and tells me when they came noone was home. My son is doing remote learning at home so where am I coming I have all emails for them saying they were coming and never showed up. They just want money and don't want to keep the apartments or buildings. DONT MOVE INTO ANY OF THE STAGGGROUP APARTMENTS.

I am a former tenant... Five stars will neglect you like none other..you call, no answer, emails no response. Complaints takes two weeks to be answered. When I moved we did a walk through with the management who said apartment was in good condition and had us sign their tablet to confirm. We have been waiting three months for security deposit. Now they’re saying the bathroom sink was messed up and to re paint it cost 1200?!!!! Someone is pocketing the money and preying on vulnerability... I will be taking them to court. I’m glad my husband has pics too!!

Terrible, Horrible Landlord/ Management!! I moved here from NYC shelter system & they where better in cleanliness and Management of repairs. It's taken me 2 years to get my microwave replaced, been shorting out since I moved in 3 years ago. Now we have no heat or hot water? Building is only 3 years old!!! NO VENTILATION! SUMMER'S ARE EXTREMELY HOT IN HERE.ROOFTOP EQUIPMENT WAS TOO SMALL SO THEY DON'T USE IT!!

Five star management is the worst experience you can image. We had a week without hot water and heat, they do not show up and do not care about residents at all, look at other places, do not get involved with this company.
