Springfield Valley Apartments

I miss the previous owners. The new owners Deer Management are so unprofessional. They never answer their phone and add random charges on your account without addressing it. Reached out 13 times since May which all were unsuccessful. I was pretty much bullied into signing the new lease since I wanted to stay but had questions about the rent increase and the new utility bill of $40 but couldn’t even get a hold of anyone within the last 3 months. I also got charged $16 for renters insurance but I have renters insurance so now I have 185 in late fees on top of an application charge of $50 even though we are not new tenants.

1. Friedman does not run this anymore so the fact that the owner still has them on their website is misleading 2. Have tried for months to contact someone for the refund that they told me I was owed and no one returns calls or voicemails. Do not rent from this property or wherever else this owner owns

I lived here for three years. It is an overall nice place, especially for the rent. Nice units, quiet location, and no pests that I have seen. Parking is great as well. There are a few drawbacks. Laundry is shared and can be a little competitive. Not all residents are respectful of the rooms. Maintenance is fine overall, but could be a little more responsive. Sometimes you need to keep calling when you need something fixed. Sound also travels easily from the hallway into the unit. We had a lot of children on our floor that would run and play in the hallway, which was disruptive when trying to work from home. I lived in one of the Springfield Valley apartments for 3 years. I was in one of the 2-bedrooms with a roommate. Pros: Nicely renovated apartment & building. Built-in microwave. Dishwasher & garbage disposal. Storage space in the hallway of each floor. Recently-updated laundry units on the 2nd & 3rd floor (larger, better working machines and ability to pay using an app on your phone). Dog & cat friendly. On-site doggie bag dispenser with trash can. Parking lot. Landscaping is well-maintained. Decent prices for 2-bed/2-full-bath. Great location - nice neighborhood and super close to businesses on Baltimore Pike. Just checked out of this apartment complex after 4 years (moved to a house). I would agree with some of the reviews here. The original management staff was sub par. I've been corresponding with Amanda for about a year or so now and all requests (not many) have been addressed in a timely and professional manner and she is very responsive to all questions. All in all, I would recommend this apartment complex. Its family and pet friendly ( I didn't have any pets but just about everyone I met in the complex had a cat or dog).
