Honestly really like the location and how quiet the Golden Valley apartment is. I'd live here again. But I'm putting a review up because I saw that the business can be predatory about security deposits. The apartment had scratches on the floor, carpet coming up, and stained walls, bathtub, and surfaces generally when I moved in. Filled in that form with a lot of detail. There was also a mold problem but that got fixed. These aren't things I care about at all. Again, I liked this apartment. But posting this as a form of security incase they give me a problem when I move out next month. It's very bare bones. No frills. It's an old apartment bulding. Same as all the others like it. It's not great, it's not bad.

I am not happy with how they took almost all my down payment of $1069 and paid me back $119. One of the rooms had a stain but they decided to replace carpets in the two rooms. I took care of the apartments through out my five years stay. My experience makes me feel they don't want to give you your down payment so they always look for ways to take your money. Here is a picture of my apartment at the time I left. For the management there is nothing like wear and tear. All they have in mind is to take all your deposit no matter how much you take care of their home they will not refund your deposit.

I am giving three stars based on the nice staff, shout out to Tony. Otherwise, I would have rated lower because of the way they handle security deposits. Unfortunately, they are one of those rental companies that nickel and dime you once you move out and expect you to pay for the cleaning you did, even though they will not do any cleaning once you leave. When I initially moved in, my apartment was DIRTY. I was charged for the floor not being cleaned, though when I moved in, the floor was disgusting and smelly and when I left, it was clean and shiny. The most unfortunate part was that my living room window was full of bird poo, and when I asked for it to be cleaned, I was told "we don't clean the windows". My roommate and I have had a great experience so far at Park Trails! It’s a great neighborhood and all of the staff and neighbors have been very friendly. Specifically our maintenance man Chad, he’s been super helpful and fulfills maintenance requests quickly and with a lot of care. You can tell he wants the best experience for the residents and we appreciate that a lot!

I've been a resident at Second Street Station Apartments for over 2 years now, and it has been a wonderful experience. This building offers practical and affordable living with updated units that are well-maintained. It's a quiet community with minimal issues, making it a comfortable place to call home. Located in the charming Knollwood area, I enjoy being within walking distance of all the fun shops and amenities. It's especially convenient for my Target addiction, as I can easily pop over whenever needed. One of the standout aspects of Second Street Station is the exceptional management by Joe.
