It's great that co-op city is more affordable than many other parts of the city. But the Riverbay Corporation runs co-op city as an oppressive system and it's not all their fault because the management group report to the NY Housing & Renewal Agency (the State); so, there are strict rules which means they can't resolve problems properly or allow any flexibility to maximize comfort for all. Riverbay can still be a much better management group. I believe they mismanage funds. There is poor staff accessibility when it comes to needing help and advocacy. Professionalism, responsiveness and skills set needs to improve among staff/management. Move here if you can help bring about good change to their operations.

Riverbay Cooperation call center employs the rudest of call center agents and the least through maintenance workers. It is a shame the poor quality they feel is acceptable. Their communication style is absolutely horrible. Their knowledge of repair /maintenance is dismal at best. If you are unaware how to do a job from start to finish how can you possibly put the proper appointment(s) in place to be the most efficient? You cannot. The maintenance workers will only do specific jobs ( whatever the agent has jotted down as this issue and what THEY believe will the solution) only to have maintenance workers arrive and tell you we dont do that …call them back… make another appointment… which usually results in weeks or months out with a 1/2 done job left in your apartment. Riverbay Corporation controls Co-op City. Auto calls with messages about bad weather and water shutdowns which are frequent. Horrible customer service and management.

Does anyone know what this thing is? Is a water/sewage treatment works or a power station, or both?! The chimneys and water cooling water fall thingy look like a power station. Thanks
