River Oak Apartments

My time at River Oak Apartments was nothing short of exceptional. Rachel and Kelly made my move-out process incredibly easy — they were professional, organized, and went above and beyond to help. The office and maintenance teams were always responsive, friendly, and ensured everything was well taken care of. The community is beautifully maintained and always feels safe and welcoming. I truly appreciate the entire team for making River Oak such a great place to live! If I ever move back to Louisville and need an apartment, this will be my top choice!

The rent keeps increasing and is becoming more and more expensive. On top of that, there are random trash disposal fees that were never clearly explained. The service quality is extremely poor. Whenever I call at night, the phone never connects to a real person. When you actually need help from staff, it’s always an AI answering instead of a human. It’s honestly ridiculous and very frustrating.

The staff and management team were amazing to deal with in every circumstance. Apartments are comfortable and nice amenities. Never had an issue once during my time there!

The location it's great have an amazing access to Downtown, Waterfront and River Road, i64 and 71 at close range, from there you can easily take to Cincinnati, Indiana, Nashville, St Louis. The landscaping it's nice, I do really appreciate the green areas to taking my dog to walk and as an enthusiastic photographer, I do love to observe the diverse breed of birds we have in our area. Great office staff and maintenance it's very diligent, some areas need improvement, as security this last couple of years we see an increase in carjacking situation even office an office break-in. It will be nice if they improve a little bit the landscaping in the creek area, with a more cleaning look and pleasing, actually that area it was the first thing it caught me when I'd decide to move to River Oaks.

I lived here for two years and it was….okay. The location, views and amenities are what saves this place- but it all comes at a cost. Specifically the fact that my rent increased by $95 the first year and when I got my renewal letter they wanted to increase that another $85. There are 14 buildings and only 1 dumpster, which means I had to drive my trash just to find a gross, overflowing dumpster. My AC was out for almost a month, when I had put in 3 different work orders and every time it was “fixed” just for my apartment to be 85° the next day. They misdisposited my security deposit, not dispositing $375 of it, which led to confusion and frustration.
