Do not recommend this place at all. Moved here back in November and each month since has been a constant flood of issues. The first issue started with the heater going out and it took 2 weeks to get it back up and running. When I canceled a maintenance request they still entered my home without permission and let my dog out. Continued with the maintenance request and sent office to go look for him. They looked for him for maybe an hour and then went about there day and left me walking in the freezing cold to look for him. He was lost for 8 hours and had multiple calls of him almost being hit by cars. He came home with both physical injuries and now traumatized. They came to fix my heater and put holes in the wall and left it there and didn’t come fix it until I complained. They left wires

Overall, I’ve had a good experience living here. I do want to be honest and say that for a few months in late fall to early winter, things seemed to be struggling a bit. Communication wasn’t as consistent and maintenance took longer than usual. That said, there’s been a noticeable turnaround with the newer management and maintenance teams. Since the change, communication has improved a lot and work orders have been handled quickly and professionally. It feels much more organized and responsive now. The dog parks are one of my favorite amenities. Its a great way to meet others at the complex without it feeling forced and my dog loves them! I’ve been living at Renew Marina Shores for over two years now, and I truly love it here! We just renewed our lease for another year, which speaks for itself. The location and monthly rent are hard to beat, but what really sets this community apart is the incredible staff. From the maintenance team and front desk to the crew who keeps the sidewalks clean and safe, everyone goes above and beyond to make this a wonderful place to call home. The location is unbeatable—within walking distance to great restaurants, Food Lion, and the beach. It’s hard to imagine living anywhere else! One of my absolute favorite features is the trail that connects to First Landing State Park; it’s perfect for a peaceful walk and enjoying nature right outside your door. These apartments are ok. I'm currently in a 3 bedroom apartment that had been 'updated." Their idea of an update was to use the cheapest possible materials and the cheapest contractors to do it. The only saving grace is that their maintenance team is outstanding. They are quick to respond to requests and seem to genuinely care about doing the job correctly. Especially Maya and Michael! They have been great!

I am normally not one to make reviews on Google, but sometimes it feels necessary. My boyfriend and I moved into this complex in April of 2025. We loved it at first, but after the first few weeks, we had to place a handful of work orders for things that were breaking or simply not working. We had multiple leaky sinks, our sprinklers leaked twice in different areas of the apartment to where they needed to carve a giant hole in our ceiling to fix it (and left an absolute mess when they were done), we needed a new microwave within the first two months, our washing machine leaked a ton, our dishwasher never worked, our oven gave out, our floors have permanent paint stains and scuffs, we had lots of cockroaches, our blinds always fell off the hinges, our front door never closed properly, door h
