Preferred Management is the worst management company I have ever dealt with. For the past three winters, we have had frozen pipes, and they have failed to fix the issue every single year. Instead of addressing the root problem, they wait for the weather to warm up and do nothing. This year alone, our water has frozen three separate times, each lasting 3–4 days. The situation became so severe that the building department had to get involved, yet even then, Preferred Management still did not properly resolve the problem. To make matters worse, I am one week postpartum and currently have no running water, making it impossible to properly care for myself or my children. Property pay system is a disaster, you don’t see your balance via the platform. The property managers have a history of bad-faith conduct and have 0 communication etiquette or administrative soft skills.

I just called because I am waiting for answers to some important questions before we purchase. The person who answered the phone was confrontational from the first hello. I am shaking. There is a way to speak to your public no matter how busy. Rude as can be , for no reason at all !!

I have been working with Preferred Management for over two years now and I cannot recommend them enough. My experience with Preferred Management NJ, particularly with Kimberly Smith, has been extremely frustrating. Communication is poor, concerns are routinely ignored, and there is a clear lack of accountability. Residents rarely, if ever, see their employees on our property. The company seems more focused on making favorable deals for Board members, enforcing rules selectively, and regularly increasing maintenance fees without any service provided. Check the public records—Preferred Management is frequently sued by homeowners. Would you really entrust your home, your most valuable asset, to a company with such a poor reputation and consistently low ratings?
