Penwood Apartments

Currently a tenant. the location is excellent, I've always had pleasant encounters with the other residents and the rent is reasonably priced. I had one instance with a water leak that was fixed promptly by the management however the appliances are out of date and are often faulty and the utility bills are too high due to the thermostats (appearing) to not function properly, as a result the units are consistently far too hot.

Posted 2015: Off the path apartments but not worth the expense. Rent is average. Expect to pay $200.00 to $300.00+ dollars a month for heating in the winter for a 2 bedroom apartment. Contact the Until and ask for the bill history of the apartment before committing to the money sink. Update 2020: I recommend never posting a financial or sensitive document online. Always interview your prospect utility company before committing to a new home. It can be an expensive lesson. Take criticism gracefully and focus on improvement.

I am not even living here. I simply inquired about a potential apartment. The individual who responded to me was rude and unprofessional at first contact and now won't return any of my correspondence. Update 4/24/2020: After seeing a reply from this place after reviewing it over a year ago I wanted to point out that my original request had no vulgarity nor was it even about section 8, it was a request to see if my income was enough. Considering they are willing to make up lies about those who review them should act as a warning for anyone looking to rent from them.

I lived at Penwood for 10 years. It is a quiet place to live. My utilities were always reasonable and never had any issues. I would recommend Penwood as a place to live.

The WORST experience and biggest waste of money!!! The management were the biggest liars and so disrespectful!!!! When they were called out on it, the got enraged and made threats! Do not rent here!!!! I wish we didn’t even have to pick 1 star!
