AVOID RENTING FROM PARKCHESTER AT ALL COST. I am writing to express my utter disgust and frustration with Parkchester. DO NOT RENT FROM PARKCHESTER. Every single building is infested—infested with mold and countless other issues that will make your life a living nightmare. It will take MONTHS to repair your apartment, assuming they even bother to fix anything at all. Every wall is covered in mold, and repairs are not just frequent; they are never-ending hell. The Parkchester rental office is an absolute joke. The management is beyond incompetent and unprofessional. They deserve a negative FIVE OUT OF FIVE stars for the miserable experience they provide. If you value your health, sanity, and money, stay as far away from Parkchester as humanly possible. Save yourself the headache and god-awf

Very poor place to live. They concentrate on making the outside of the buildings look nice while the inside slowly falls apart. Heat season starts in October which begins the worse 6 months of living here because my apartment routinely reaches 85 degrees. Between being lucky if we have elevators and hot water consistently every month and leaky exterior walls & large rent increases (mine went up 8% and no they aren't rent stabilized or controlled) there are better places to live. Requesting service appoints is ridiculous. God forbid you have a plumbing leak that destroys your walls. I had to report black mold to city in order to get these people to fix it. And then it took a months for them to fix the leak causing it (with no progress updates to me whatsoever). Then they had to sched

I’ve lived here 24 years , I GUESS LOYALTY MEANS NOTHING, I’m just really taken aback on how rude and lack luster they’ve been lately. Before there were more efficient staff members there , and it was a few bad apples 🍎…leadership….. that’s where it starts .... now it’s just blatant disrespect , the irony it is not a hand out, this is not HRA , I want my deposit please , and it’s been two weeks …..I’ve recently left and gave up my apartment, the new staff the have working there Yesenia is EXTREMELY RUDE , unprofessional…… currently waiting on my deposit. The other staff member ( supervisor) was extremely nice Ms Vera ….who was a pleasure to deal with ….this is one of the few times I had to leave a review in which I rarely do ….. they earned it . Don’t move here guys trust me .

The Neighborhood is pretty save, the only reason for giving it one star is because you better pray you don’t need service on your apartment one day or need to speak to a manager, the ridiculous wait time when you call is unbelievable. Terrible terrible, on my floor lately they be leaving garbage on the disposal shoot how ever you call it, or people be leaving big bags of garbage right on the shoot blocking everyone from dumping garbage,, it’s becoming the projects lately smh. Considering leaving soon if it doesn’t change

Parkchester has the most incompetent people working there. Please replace the main operator Ashley who always has an attitude when she picks up the phone (she also likes to screen calls). The consistent wait times of 127 callers in front of you just to speak to service to get any work done is ridiculous. Then they have the nerve to get angry with you when you report issues with them such as hot water and elevator outages. The decline in Parkchester in the last 20 years is sad to see. No one likes working, some of the porters don’t like cleaning buildings, the people in the offices (including property managers) have disgusting attitudes, DPS is useless when you call about sketchy people wandering around people’s property, using drugs, and urinating in the parks openly in front of children
