Park Del Amo Apartments

I like living here. Love where I am located. Have great people living around . When I was moving I was told I could get a railing along the porch. When I asked was told they don’t do that any more. I use a walker so the railing would help. The parking is awful here. There are only about 4-5 handycapen spaces and cars can park as long as they want as long as they have their placket showing. I do have a garage which I am glad. It’s only a couple of things that I did not realize and was told that I would get, that did not happen. It’s quite here. And folks are friendly.

The staff at Park Del Amo is great!! Today, I want to give a special shoutout to Ivan in the Maintenance Department. When I first met Ivan and being a young man, I asked him about his plans for the future. He told me he loved his job and his enthusiasm was apparent and a pleasant surprise. I’ve found Ivan to be proficient, competent, diligent and always ready to lend a helping hand with a big smile. I’m a capable and energetic senior citizen but he always offers to assist me when he sees me coming up the stairs with my groceries. His smile is infectious and sincere. I’ve been a tenant here going on three years and a couple of the staff members who I had also established a rapport with understandably left only because better opportunities came their way. We enjoyed our 3.5 years living at Park Del Amo Apartments. Our apartment was spacious, modern, and in good shape. Staff were helpful and the maintenance team responded to our requests in a timely manner. Even though you're conveniently close to major roads, the cul-de-sac is quiet and peaceful, with regular care for the landscaping. I like the courtyard organization and trees (although some of the largest ones had to be replaced a few years ago). We only left because we moved to a different part of LA County for a different neighborhood feel. If you are looking for an apartment in Lakewood, this complex is great. We’ve lived at Lakewood Manor for over 3 years and recently looked into transferring to a larger unit at Park Del Amo Apartments, which are under the same management. During our visit, we were told that if we applied the same day, we’d get one month free rent — so we applied immediately and submitted everything they asked for. Then we heard nothing for 7 days. No updates, no emails, no calls. We had to reach out ourselves, only to be told we were approved — but now the deposit would be over $500 more. On top of that, we were still waiting for a leasing agent. Later, we got an email asking for more paperwork.
