I know based on reading older reviews that others have had a great experience in the past with this leasing company, but I have to say that this was not my experience. I applied for a lease property on May 9 and as of today, May 23, I have not had a single phone call, voicemail, or email returned. Every single time I call them the line doesn't even ring, just takes me straight to voicemail. I emailed requesting a followup multiple times, expressed my extremely strong interest in the property, stated my rental qualifications, provided previous landlord contact info, paid the application fee, had a guarantor—and still silence. I had a disappointing experience with Owens, Meredith, and Sons. The service fell short in several ways. Communication was lacking, with emails and calls going unanswered. Additionally, there were issues with transparency and honesty. We have been trying to reach these people over a month with no success. They will not answer the phone, respond to emails, or text messages. When I first moved in, my deposit was $1200 plus the first month’s rent, I paid that. Now I’m unable to talk to anyone concerning them returning my deposit. We fulfilled our lease, I cleaned the house from top to bottom. Sent pictures and all, still no response. No one ever came to do any repairs. I also took pictures of the black mold growing in the downstairs closet. $730 rent payment for September taken from my account after notice to vacate was already given with 30 days notice at the beginning of August (month to month lease). When I inquired about my refund they told me that they had 60 days to return the deposit once you leave. I wasn't talking about the deposit. I'll be contacting my lawyer in 60 days if I do not receive a refund. I would strongly suggest living somewhere else. It's cheap for a reason.

We have been tenants of Owen Meredith and Sons over the past 5 1/2 years. They have been honest, wonderful and always responded promptly if we had a maintenance issue. The only reason we are moving is because we are downsizing because our children are grown and have moved out. We will miss working with Kale and the wonderful staff! Great people!!

Expertly managed my property for ~4 years after which they took the lead on selling the home. They're team showed equal compassion and understanding for both owner and renter by respecting the repair needs of the residents and the sometimes fragile financial realities faced my owners when maintenance cost is eventually realized. The selling of the home was handled with utmost professionalism by Kale Whaley w/ a final sale price ~20% over asking. 10/10 Would Highly Recommend.
