I give the Oakwood New Home Design Center a lot of praise! Of course it is already exciting to pick and choose how you want your new home to look, but is was well organized and everything was displayed with so many options to choose from in most cases. Our Design Center host or representative was Melissa P. and she did a great job guiding us through the process. The flow was nice and not hurried and we was able to take our time and make good decisions. You are given the opportunity to design where you want more outlets or recess lightning , and to work out all the interior choices and colors and styles that fits your needs for that new home. Everything is laid out professionally for you when you return for your final appointment, and if you need to make any changes, they are done immediate

This review is for Oakwood Homes as a company and not just the Design Center. I built a house in 2021 with Oakwood and closed in December. First of all, the Design Center and current Sales staff are amazing. Erica and Lauren are amazing to work with. Erica will help you design your dream home for the budget you want. And Lauren has your back for making sure you love your home. Now to the issues. The home itself has many warranty issues which I could handle if they were taken care of promptly, but getting in touch with the Oakwood warranty dept known as Shazam is near impossible. We have submitted warranty claims on their website in December (days after closing) that still have not been fixed 5 months later. We try to get weekly updates but are generally ignored.
