Oakview Place Apartments

My experience at Oakview Place Apts was not the best at all. I Never had a key to my mailbox and my alanever worked. I put in four requests and nothing was never down for two years straight. I had a flood in the downstairs bathroom 2 days before Christmas along with the other tenants in the same building. We had to go buy towels to change out the water flow for 3 days there was no maintenance to be contacted. There's water pockets in the ceiling. A tree fell on the back porch messing up the unit. I was told if I found someone to cut it down that they would put to the money towards my rent. I paid $1000 and gave them a receipt and haven't seen nothing take place in months concerning my money. I have gone through at least 3 managers about this situation with no response. I'm contacting the

When i moved into the apartment there were things broken that have still yet to be fixed and i have lived here 6 months going on 7. On top of this i have had an issue with my toilet for a month. I have been submitting service requests and they get marked as completed even though they are not. Notified the apartment I was ready to move and all of a sudden they say they will get someone to fix the toilet. They barely told the emergency plumber what he was coming for, and did not offer me a hotel/motel while it is being fixed. The plumber came thinking he was fixing a leak and was not prepared, which is not his fault. I have been without a toilet at least 7 hours now and the clock on that is still counting. If you care about a livable apartment i would not move here.

I have lived here almost two years. The first year No repair/ maintenance was done. Several leasing managers later the repair is finally getting done. However they like to come in and out of my home without notice. This is disrespectful to my right to privacy. Now I've been robbed . Also they advertise the assigned parking but want to charge extra money a month to enforce it. I no longer feel safe here. I use to call this place home. Not anymore.

I have requested at least 4 times for my master bathroom toilet to be fixed. All of the times I have called maintenance for issues have magically "not been on file". I was promised I could move into a new unit and would be contacted after they had options for me to choose from. MONTHS went by before I emailed them about it and I FINALLY received a call about fixing my toilet and was told that the reason I wasn't put into a new unit is because they never heard back from me. This place is terrible. I can't wait until my lease is up so I can move. The management is awful and don't really care about their tenants and the property is absolutely disgusting. Do not move here. Any positive review is a lie. Roaches and filth are prominent in the apartment flat units. Apartment was not move in ready. Missing drawers, old cabinets, janky work on floors and doors, plug outlets don't work, pool closed all summer, janky appliances, and filthy grounds. Rusty sinks, leaky sinks, toilets are wobbly. Had to clean up all the filth outside the apartment. Breeze ways are nasty. Roaches every where because the property is not clean and the appliances and cabinetry are old. This place is not worth a penny and the property managers don't care because it's a predominantly black complex.
