My home is full of dirt and ants. These houses are build on nothing but dirt right against the ground. I don’t believe the termite spray was ever completed. The amount of aunts is unbelievable and we clean every week. Also, they came to do warranty work when my father was dying, made a mess, never cleaned it up and never finished. Since my dad signed off on the paperwork, remember he was dying, they won’t do anything. Cheap house for people unaware of what they are getting for their money. My dad trusted these people but Shugart homes have long been called Sugar shacks for a good reason. You get what you pay for—- sorry my dad wanted it before he died.

I built a home in a community called #Brayden, located in Bermuda Run/Advance. I had hoped for so much more than what I ended up with :-( Of course, the sales representative never told me what I was going to have to deal with for 6 months at least after my purchase! Why would she? She wouldn't have been able to sell this lot had someone truly known what lay ahead! They also never told me (or any of the residents) that Brayden Drive will be a public access road that will connect to a new development with 525 homes and 1000+ residents!!!!! Legally, residents have a right to "peaceful and quiet enjoyment of their dwelling". You will not find that in this community! Since moving in, I’ve had constant issues with the numerous contractors building in front of my lot (that change daily). They c

We have had so many issues since buying our home over a year ago. Fortunately most of the issues it were covered under the one year warranty so it did get fixed but we basically had someone out fixing or looking into an issue several times a month. For example we did not have properly working air conditioner for over a year (80 degrees in the house when we have it set at 75 - we kept being told we just need to put it to below 70 at night so it is starting cooler…they finally tore out the walls and fixed a leak caused by the builders). However, we have an open issue of a ditch the was promised to be fix before closing that they washed their hands of after filling in part of it. Most recent issue is that they improperly installed our dishwasher which is broken and leaked ruining part of ou

Great house but beware of poor warrantee service. Been dealing with them for since last July on simple fixes, some that were know right after closing but they wanted to wait until the 11 month warranty. Flooring has been the most frustrating, we have LVP cracking and coming up that is a tripping hazard and they keep sending inspectors out to take photos but no plan on when it will be fixed. There's nothing like showing off your new house and explaining to people the issues in the floor they need to walk around so they don't trip. Calls are regularly ignored then when they respond it's empty promises to get it fixed. I've been at home for inspectors, wrong contractors (they use various contractors depending on the time period it was built). Just be aware of the run around and promises

My parents-in-law bought a new townhome built by Shugart Homes in July 2020 (They call this luxury townhome) and have had few issues from small to major - including a WATER LEAK IN FIREPLACE which have been reported to their customer care few times in last few months. They still have not fixed this issue along with other small issues after sending them e-mails to warranty service department as instructed. NO RESPONSE AT ALL They are busy building homes using cheap materials and incompetent sub-contractors but will not stand behind their construction. Stay away from Shugart Homes or Mungo Homes who bought Shugart Homes recently if you're looking to buy a new home.
