Mungo Homes - Charleston

If you are looking to buy or build in the Lochton community please look at the frequent reviews. What started as a nice community has recently had some major issues. Mungo is not a builder that seems to care about its community or its residents. They have a useless HOA running the place with lots of issues. Buyer beware!!

Their Homes, builders, sales staff, and fixture folks are awesome. I love my home and the options. I am so glad for Mungo in that regard. But after your house is built their customer service, scheduling, and warranty people are complete garbage to work with. And their handling of HOA requests is laughable, especially their respect for your time. It is the same sentiment for everyone I have talked to in our development. It's a shame because their houses are really nice, but customer service is everything and theirs is severely lacking.

Customer service is top of the line. The actual product, not so much. The talk is BIG, their walk is not. This company is riding on a reputation of integrity they built many years ago, but today is gone. We've had our siding fall off 4 separate times in one year of being placed. Our floors are messed up because of lazy, cheap, cut corner work. The walking trails they promised are nowhere to be seen.. We've been here two years and are looking at our next home, and it will NOT be with Mungo..

I would give 0 stars if possible. I looked at a home at 3106 Riverine Charleston, SC. I went to the community 3 timestaled to the agent about the home and brought my husband back on the tired visit. I gave them my email address and on the tired visit I made a special trip back to the office to give my email yet again. No boby ever once contacted me. My husband and I are cash buyers and really wanted to purchase the home. We figured if you can't get anyone to contact you when you want to purchase a home just imagine if there was a problem. We ended up purchasing another home and their home still sits without a buyer. Their loss.

Can't get in touch with anyone. I need a handle for my sliding glass door because it broke. Unfortunately the handle is smaller than all the universal ones and there is no manufacturer information for me to go off of. The house was built in 2005.
