Motiv Apartments

Motiv Apartments was hands down one of the best places I’ve ever lived - coming from someone who has lived in many rental properties. The building was always clean and well kept, inside and out. It’s in a great location in Uptown, giving both a residential and nonresidential feel. It’s surrounded by many popular food and coffee places and is within walking/biking distance to some lovely lakes. It’s reasonably priced with some great features, such as the community deck on the rooftop. And the management was excellent - professional, responsive, present, caring, etc. The only reason I moved was to go to graduate school; otherwise, I would have stayed much longer. I highly recommend living here ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We lived here for nearly 5 years and had a wonderful experience. The apartment itself was exactly what we were looking for, and both management and maintenance were quick to address any minor things that came up. We always enjoyed our neighbors, and got a chance to meet many of them on the community deck (complete with grill!). The neighborhood itself is in a perfect location - very walkable to many restaurants, bars, and grocery stores, not to mention lake of the isles which is a beautiful place to visit any time of year. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Decent apartment overall in a great location. I enjoyed living here for a couple years. Don’t bother cleaning on your way out, or make sure you do your walkout with them - you will get charged a few hundred regardless of whether you did anything (I won’t claim we did a perfect clean but certainly more than “nothing clean, needs full cleaning”). Leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth on the way out and would be inclined to look elsewhere if I moved back to MN.

I lived here for 7 months and absolutely loved the place! I only moved because I got a job in a different city. Small community which is extremely nice, and has a cool community deck which is perfect when having people over in the summer! Fantastic location, I parked on the street every night and didn’t have any trouble finding a spot which is also a plus.

We lived at Motiv for four years and had a great experience. Versus many of the older buildings we lived in throughout the years, Motiv was really well maintained - and it was a breath of fresh air not to worry about drafty windows, creaky floors, and insects and pests. Rent is much more reasonable than other newer builds. The building is on the smaller side so you don’t have to worry about loud parties or ‘frat culture.’ On the rare instance we had a maintenance or building request - the mgmt is really quick to respond. I also can’t say enough about the location - literally everything you need is within a block or two. Special shout-out to the property manager, Annie - who goes above and beyond to take care of the tenants and is a pro at communication.
