Midtown At Town Center Apartments

Military orders were to leave June 6th, Midtown refused to prorate the rent, all of June was paid. If you are military and have to leave due to military orders during the middle of the month they will still force you to pay the entire month's rent. I asked the manager Ashley if they could prorate my rent and she told me "the way Virginia law works is..." lying to me that they couldn't do it. Midtown had no problem making me pay a prorated amount of rent when I moved in... I contacted their corporate office as well, no response. Everyone I know in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area that had to break the lease due to military orders during the middle of the month paid a prorated rent due to military orders. Midtown is the only apartment I know of that doesn't allow prorated rent in the area.

Avoid Midtown at Town Center Apartments at all costs! My experience with this apartment complex has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others about their unethical practices, lack of accountability, and outright negligence. From the moment I moved in, my experience was riddled with issues. Just days after moving in, I had security called on me multiple times by a neighbor for “noise,” which turned out to be nothing more than me unpacking boxes after work. Despite my attempts to be courteous and explain my situation, this neighbor began a campaign of harassment, escalating to banging on the ceiling whenever my children so much as walked in the apartment. My wife and I enjoyed living here, but moving out was a hell of a process. They charged us for carpet replacement due to pet urine. If you read this companies reviews it seems to be their favorite play if you signed a pet addendum. They showed me pictures of stained carpeting in every room of the apartment. For reference, I have cats. Also, they sent me a picture of my office, which was kept locked at all times and never had a cat in it. So be prepared for the racket of you paying for the next tenants carpet. Additionally, if you move out before your lease ends date, they make you repay your military discount. While I was on deployment in the Middle East, they emailed me to say that my car got covered in oil while parked in their parking garage. I was told that someone must have changed

We have lived at Midtown for a year now and absolutely love it! Large bedrooms, all walk-in closets, open concept living area. The office staff girls are so nice and always available to help and are great at keeping us informed of anything we need to know. They also are always having fun events for everyone! Maintenance requests are always completed quickly. We love living here and highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality apartment home.

I moved to Virginia Beach almost a year ago with the Navy. Fortunately I was able to look at a few different apartments in the area before making the move. Since the time I was apartment shopping, this property has always impressed me. The location is great and easy waking distance to Town Center. Also not more than 20-25 min from Norfolk and the Oceanfront. Living by myself, security was a top priority for me, and I feel very secure with the key pad entry and comfortable property. I've been most impressed with the staff. The maintenance staff are always extremely helpful. The front officer staff is amazing- always know my name when ever I walk down there, and they are constantly planning events for the residents. I highly recommend this property to anyone new to the area!
