My mom had to move out unexpectedly for health reasons. I gave Mary L., the manager at Glenwood Senior Living notice right away. She needed proof from the doctor and we gave her that. Long story short, in Wisconsin you need to receive your security deposit back within 21 days. Today is day 25, 9 days past when I was supposed to receive the check and an itemized list if any money would not be returned. I still haven't received a check or list. When I called Mary, the landlord, she wouldn't answer my questions of: 1. When will my mom get her security deposit back and 2. Is she getting the full $500? Mary kept saying rudely, "It's not in my hands, it's up to corporate (Metes and Bounds). When I called Metes and Bounds they wouldn't answer my questions either right away. I just foun
They steal money from you and like to say it’s some sort of fees. They don’t tell you or show you paperwork/ proof right away. They wait a month to “get it printed”. They don’t get back to you when they say they will. They hang up on you. They don’t return your emails or calls. They stole over $700 from me alone. They hide it very well to save them from being sued. My neighbors have had the same exact issues. We have all moved out. Save the time and trouble of applying. Also they go up on rent whenever they want. Nobody is paying the same rent amount. You could pay 1,000 for a one bedroom and the next person will pay 750. Everyone is paying something completely different. There are multiple people including management who feel there is money embezzlement going on. They have quit their jobs
This management company charges more than what they should for apartment buildings that are 50+ year old structures. Things M&B both has & hasn't done. M&B did the bare minimum when addressing mold damage on an entire end of my apartment building. Was told I was going to get a new walk in shower unit, ended with them scrubbing my shower tiles and patching the chunk of moldy ceiling they cut out. Raised the pet fee per animal from $25 to $50 for all residents sometime in late 2023/early 2024. M&B makes it hard getting service animals filed making it hard for tenants to avoid above market rate pet fees. Raised the price to run a wash machine 3 times over 3 years. Even when I say something is okay, Cynthia won’t stop until it’s truly right—her attention to detail and commitment to excellence are unmatched. Do not rent from them!!! They are unprofessional and lie. I had a scheduled lease signing and two days prior was told that leasing agent didn't work there anymore was harassed to move my lease signing up but then when the "manager" got involved she screamed at me telling me my application was not approved yet and she was the only one who can approve them that other girl I was talking to was not even a manager and there is not a signing date and they "are by the book". I have the confirmed lease signing date on text and also voicemail from another employee there. Total negligent behavior. I have had three apartments already and I have never been treated with such disrespect. They should not be allowed to rent.
