Lerner Windmill Parc

I do not live at WindMill Parc but after reading the horrible reviews about the rodents and the $800.00 price increase claiming market value, and the management not even denying this in their response …. it’s a HARD NO for me. This should be unethical and price gouging but … in Virginia there is no rent cap.. They can increase your rent by 2000% when it’s time to renew your lease if they are money greedy. The sad part is, they lure you in with these promotional rates for the first year and tell you there’s no major increase to renew, but it’s all a lie. BEWARE .. Choose wisely.

While the property itself is decent, my experience was extremely disappointing due to management issues, particularly with the property manager, Melissa. Throughout my tenancy, concerns were often dismissed rather than addressed. It frequently felt like resident feedback was not taken seriously. Maintenance requests required multiple follow-ups before being handled, which created ongoing frustration. I also experienced several missing packages, and when I contacted the office, I was told there was nothing that could be done. Communication was inconsistent, and I often received different information depending on who I spoke to. The most concerning issue occurred after I moved out. Virginia law requires security deposits to be returned within 45 calendar days. I vacated on December 1st an

From the very start of our leasing process to move in day, Melissa and her team (especially Kevin) have truly gone above and beyond. Always helpful, efficient, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, this management team truly cares. Melissa answered every question we had quickly and made sure any concern we had was taken care of right away. Her professionalism and kindness made what’s usually a stressful process for us feel smooth and easy. Carlos provided excellent maintenance service at my mother’s apartment. He was very respectful, polite, and professional throughout the entire visit. What truly stood out was that he is bilingual, which made my mother feel comfortable and well understood. He took the time to explain everything clearly and treated her with kindness and patience. We truly appreciate his help and the care he showed. Highly recommended!
