Lake West on France

Everything is fine except for the thin walls; I can hear the annoying noise coming from my upstairs neighbor early in the morning when they walk if you move here try to get one aparment in the highest level.

Wouldn't rent with this company again, their lease REQUIRES you to give notice to vacate at the start of the month (which seems borderline illegal if you ask me), they shut the water in the building off every 5 weeks for 5 hours, they refuse to set up security cameras in any common areas apart from one in their fancy new gym, the whole basement smells like mildew, and they charge you a $250 dollar fee if you don't turn in your keys by noon on move-out day. Can't wait to find out that the pictures we hung in our apartment are considered "damages" Oh yeah I forgot to mention, they show your apartment while you're still living there if you've given notice. Nothing like having strangers in my house while I'm trying to move out. They have been a complete nightmare.

Nothing to offer here. Apartment gets super hot in summer and AC doesn’t reach even room adjacent. Expect 200$ utilities fee in the summer. I had to sleep on air mattes in living room to not overheat. U get one spot in lot and it’s most likely going to be full. If you forget you car is parked past open lot hours they will tow it without warning - 350$. They have a company that literally goes car to car looking for car stickers at midnight. Lots of construction so be ready to get woke up at 7am. Thin walls. Washing machines are a major hassle to use. Cut up your mail cause people go through the trash at night. With the proximity to Saint Louis park and Lake Bde, one would assume it is a safe area. That is far from the case. There is no security despite the numerous car jackings and break ins. Management has been “working” on finding a security company for the past 10 months. The surface level (free) parking lot is also located around a blind turn causing accidents in the winter. The apartment itself is decent. There is decent living space but the kitchen is quite small. The building is also OLD. We have had several things break that required maintenance to fix. The heat doesn’t get warm enough in the winter and we relied heavily on a space heater. The AC works in the living room but doesn’t spread to the bedroom. The amenities are only open during business hours so don’t expect to be able to hit

An alright place to live. Rent is very reasonable and the units are really nice for what you are paying. Drawbacks however are that my car got regularly robbed in the lot, and it has to be one of the worst parking lots I’ve ever used. Practically unusable in the winter and very unsafe. People park in spots that aren’t really spots and there are zero consequences because I don’t think they actually patrol the lot often.
