Lafitte Village

I kept forgetting to leave a review. Funny to see my recent neighbor left a review. The pro is that the rent is cheaper than typical rent in the city, the laundry room is free & it was convenient because I worked at UNO. I’ve lived in these apartments for 3 years before I moved states. These apartments need to be torn down and rebuilt like privateer place. There’s a mold problem & they’ll just paint over it. Every time I would buy food it would go bad within a few days & I was consistently sick living there. I didn’t realize it was due to this apartment until I moved. I didn’t understand having room checks almost every month which was new within the last year. It does feel give prison vibe and the rent went up every year with no updates. I won’t recommend this apartments. I would recomme

Lafitte Village has its negatives and positives. I really like my neighbors and the managers. My dogs live with me and they are comfortable. I don’t feel bothered by anyone being here it’s genuinely a pretty great place to live. The negatives are that it’s very old and outdated. Kind of looks like a jail cell and when I first moved in the place was completely dirty and I had to wait for the cleaning crew to come clean and even when they came it was still dirty so I had to clean it. Also there was a possum that lived on the stairwell for a month and it was scary the crap out of everyone because it was obviously sick. We had to call the police and they scared the possum away and it jumped off the third floor and hurt itself~ crazy experience!! But I will say if you’re grad student this is be

I have been contemplating on leaving this review because I am a student, but it must be said. IF YOU WANT PEACE OF MIND & PRIVACY, this is NOT the place for you. These apartments have been advertised as "graduate student housing", but it is way too similar to undergrad housing. Room checks almost every month, a touch of racism, and lack of good internet is ruining the experience. As an adult, there are WAY TOO MANY RULES TO LIVE HERE. You can't have a dog unless you have a note from a therapist, not the basic kind either. The washer/dryers are always full. Oh and the fact that there are entire families who live back here, with loud children (I don't want kids so why in the world would I want to hear them screaming all day?). I just am slowly losing my mind living here. I cannot get out of

Lived there for about two years. It was hands down the best place for a family to live while attending the university of new orleans. The staff were always there to help with any problems that may have occured. The complex was within walking distance to class, utilities included, nice neighborhood, twenty four hour security.

Graduate and married student housing. Safe and secure with amazing amenities: w/d on-site, parking, wifi, and all utilities included! Literally, the smartest decision I've ever made related to housing.
